A basic drive control and LAN communications board from the Mark V series is the General Electric DS200LDCCG1A. It was created to give the GE line of DIRECTO-MATIC 2000 exciters and drives drive and I/O controls. It has a number of onboard capabilities, including LAN (local area networks) connectivity managed by a microprocessor, controlled drive and motor processing, an operator interface, and full drive resets. The board has four microprocessors, giving it comprehensive I/O and drive control coverage. Position U1 on the board designates the drive control processor, which offers integrated I/O peripherals with functions like timers and decoders. The second is a motor controller identified as U21 on the board. Circuitry for motor control and I/O (analogue and digital) communications are available with this processor.
